Camborne Dental Practice is a long established private dental practice providing high-quality dental care for our patients who come to see us from the surrounding areas and many from much further afield.
Our dentists and hygienists are highly trained and motivated with a wealth of experience across all aspects of dentistry. We are constantly updating our knowledge and techniques so we can provide you with the latest that there is to offer.
Together with our fantastic support team, we deliver top quality treatment and look after you in a manner that we would like to be looked after ourselves.
Our customer care is exemplary. We have built our reputation on providing great dental treatment with an unhurried, personal, and caring approach.
Steve has been at the practice for 11 years and the Principle for 3 years.
He originates from St Day, Cornwall, where he went to school and later Redruth Comprehensive.
He graduated from Bristol University being awarded the Graham Hooper Endodontic Prize and therefore specialises in Root Canal Treatment. He has spent his professional career working in private practices in Cornwall.
Steve lives locally with his wife and two children and enjoys water sports, classic cars and his hobby is farming.

I grew up in Truro and qualified from the University of Birmingham in 1991. I have worked in general practice in Cornwall, London and Cheltenham and also teach dental students at Bristol University.
During my free time I enjoy travelling, skiing, trekking and spending time by the sea, here in Cornwall.

Originally from Derbyshire I graduated from Sheffield University in 2008. In 2009 I made the move to sunny Cornwall, a move which has become a permanent one after I met and married a Cornishman. I have been working in general practice for the past ten years and am very passionate about dentistry. I really like working with anxious patients and building confidence, working with patients to prevent dental disease, as well as the opportunity to be creative when a smile needs attention
I live in Newquay with my young family and we have a host of pets that keep us busy and amused as well as a variety of embarrassingly geeky hobbies that include; marine fish keeping, model engineering, r/c racing and art.

Adam graduated from the University of Sheffield in 1998 where we was awarded the prize for conservative dentistry and periodontology (gum health). He is a full member of the International Team for Implantology (ITI). This internationally recognised body is dedicated to the advacement of dentistry and encourage high standards to be obtained ethically and responsibly by their members. Adam also holds memberships of The Faculty of General Dental Practice (UK) and the Faculty of Dental Surgery.
Having spent over ten years in private practice Adam is passionate about dentistry. His philosophy is to work with his patients to help them achieve and maintain healthy mouths and a beautiful smile. In order to develop his particular interest in minimally invasive aesthetic, restorative and implant dentistry he has completed extensive postgraduate training in the UK and abroad. Through this training he is able to focus on providing high quality dentistry for his patients.
Adam's postgraduate training and qualifications include completion of The Core Curriculum in Functional and Aesthetic Dentistry through the Dawson Academy, Florida. He has a Postgraduate Certificate in Implant Dentistry following completion of a one year course at Trafford Hospital, Manchester. He has completed courses in minimally invasive aesthetic dentistry in Milan, Brussels and London, and in 2011 was awarded the Diploma of Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (MJDF RCS).

Mark qualified at the University of Sheffield in 1999 with an Honours Degree. He spent a year of Vocational Training in Helston and a further two years training in Oral Surgery and Orthodontics at Truro and Derriford Hospitals. In 2003 he returned to work in the local area and has many years experience as a general dental practitioner.
Mark lives in Constantine, has three young children and a pet Labrador. In his spare time he enjoys cycling and windsurfing. He has a postgraduate diploma and is a member of the Dental Faculty of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow.
Dentist and Special Interest in Periodontal Disease

I qualified from Birmingham in 1987 and have lived and worked in Cornwall since 1998. I enjoy providing general family dentistry but have a special interest in gum disease and other areas where lifestyle, general health and oral health overlap. I also provides appliances which help to prevent snoring and sleep apnoea.
I enjoy working with Camborne Dental Practice and help out to cover holidays and sickness as well as Periodontal (gum) Disease Assessments.
In my spare time I enjoy unusual holidays (eg walking with donkeys in the Pyrenees), going to concerts, online genealogy and writing, but, most of all, being a mum.
I have worked at this friendly practice for over 25 years and have been part of many positive changes during this time.
I currently work in the new dedicated hygienist surgery supported by a professional and caring team.
I especially like treating nervous patients.
Out of the surgery I am a busy mum and love swimming and art.
I qualified in 1981 from The Royal Dental Hospital London and have 37 years experience in my professional field in a variety of Dental Practices.
I joined this practice in January 2018 and enjoy meeting the existing and new patients in this forward thinking preventive ethos practice.
My life outside of dentistry revolves mainly around my family.
My hobbies include walking and tap dancing.
Having grown up in Cornwall, I started out as a Dental nurse and went on to study Dental Hygiene at Bristol Dental Hospital.
I qualified in 2011 and started working at Camborne Dental Practice in 2013.
I really enjoy working with nervous patients, gaining their trust and rebuilding their confidence in dentistry.
Outside of work I enjoy my travel, and have an ever growing list of places I’d like to visit.

I have over 30 years experience working in dentistry starting as a dental nurse in Penzance in 1987 and qualifying as a dental hygienist and therapist from the Eastman Dental Hospital, London in 2000.
My approach to treatment is in line with current thinking to give my patients the best possible care. I regularly visit local schools promoting good oral health to children.
I am a member of The British Society of Dental Hygiene & Therapy and have the pleasure of being involved with the South West Peninsula Group as a committee member. I enjoy a busy life as a wife and mother to my two daughters also fitting in time to volunteer at my local surf life saving club as a nipper officer.
I love to travel, run, swim, ski, watch netball and occasionally relax with a good book.
I started my career in dentistry 33 years ago. During this period I qualified as a dental nurse being awarded my National Certificate in 1990.
In 1995 I started my management career, working in practices in Wiltshire and Cornwall. I joined Camborne Dental Practice in 2002.
During my time at this practice I have continued with my professional development and achieved an ILM in Leadership and Management.
Most of my time is spent in the control centre of the practice, but occasionally I do you get to work on reception and meet you, our patients.
During my spare time I enjoy coastal walking yoga and cycling. I have a daughter who I love spending time with so I too can be a child again.

I have been a dental nurse for 35 years and I trained in London. 32 years ago, I moved to Cornwall and qualified with the Dental Nurse National Certificate in 1997.
I have worked at Camborne Dental Practice for 18 years with a good team. In 2011 I took my Oral Health Education qualification and have a clinic to help our child and adult patients to obtain the best oral health care regimes.
You may see me working with the reception team too, which I also enjoy. I married a Cornishman have two grown up girls along with two crazy spaniel dogs, which keep me fit walking them!
