Camborne Dental Practice is a long established private dental practice providing high-quality dental care for our patients who come to see us from the surrounding areas and many from much further afield.
Our dentists and hygienists are highly trained and motivated with a wealth of experience across all aspects of dentistry. We are constantly updating our knowledge and techniques so we can provide you with the latest that there is to offer.
Together with our fantastic support team, we deliver top quality treatment and look after you in a manner that we would like to be looked after ourselves.

Steve has been at the practice for 11 years and the Principle for 3 years.
He originates from St Day, Cornwall, where he went to school and later Redruth Comprehensive.
He graduated from Bristol University being awarded the Graham Hooper Endodontic Prize and therefore specialises in Root Canal Treatment. He has spent his professional career working in private practices in Cornwall.
Steve lives locally with his wife and two children and enjoys water sports, classic cars and his hobby is farming.

I grew up in Truro and qualified from the University of Birmingham in 1991. I have worked in general practice in Cornwall, London and Cheltenham and also teach dental students at Bristol University.
During my free time I enjoy travelling, skiing, trekking and spending time by the sea, here in Cornwall.

Adam Ascroft

Adam graduated from the University of Sheffield in 1998 where we was awarded the prize for conservative dentistry and periodontology (gum health). He is a full member of the International Team for Implantology (ITI). This internationally recognised body is dedicated to the advacement of dentistry and encourage high standards to be obtained ethically and responsibly by their members. Adam also holds memberships of The Faculty of General Dental Practice (UK) and the Faculty of Dental Surgery.
Having spent over ten years in private practice Adam is passionate about dentistry. His philosophy is to work with his patients to help them achieve and maintain healthy mouths and a beautiful smile. In order to develop his particular interest in minimally invasive aesthetic, restorative and implant dentistry he has completed extensive postgraduate training in the UK and abroad. Through this training he is able to focus on providing high quality dentistry for his patients.
Adam's postgraduate training and qualifications include completion of The Core Curriculum in Functional and Aesthetic Dentistry through the Dawson Academy, Florida. He has a Postgraduate Certificate in Implant Dentistry following completion of a one year course at Trafford Hospital, Manchester. He has completed courses in minimally invasive aesthetic dentistry in Milan, Brussels and London, and in 2011 was awarded the Diploma of Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (MJDF RCS).

Mark Haynes

Mark qualified at the University of Sheffield in 1999 with an Honours Degree. He spent a year of Vocational Training in Helston and a further two years training in Oral Surgery and Orthodontics at Truro and Derriford Hospitals. In 2003 he returned to work in the local area and has many years experience as a general dental practitioner.
Mark lives in Constantine, has three young children and a pet Labrador. In his spare time he enjoys cycling and windsurfing. He has a postgraduate diploma and is a member of the Dental Faculty of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow.

I qualified in 1981 from The Royal Dental Hospital London and have 37 years experience in my professional field in a variety of Dental Practices.
I joined this practice in January 2018 and enjoy meeting the existing and new patients in this forward thinking preventive ethos practice.
My life outside of dentistry revolves mainly around my family.
My hobbies include walking and tap dancing.

I have over 30 years experience working in dentistry starting as a dental nurse in Penzance in 1987 and qualifying as a dental hygienist and therapist from the Eastman Dental Hospital, London in 2000.
My approach to treatment is in line with current thinking to give my patients the best possible care. I regularly visit local schools promoting good oral health to children.
I am a member of The British Society of Dental Hygiene & Therapy and have the pleasure of being involved with the South West Peninsula Group as a committee member. I enjoy a busy life as a wife and mother to my two daughters also fitting in time to volunteer at my local surf life saving club as a nipper officer.
I love to travel, run, swim, ski, watch netball and occasionally relax with a good book.
